IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. All the foregoing minimum charges do not include the Value Added Tax (16%), which will be billed additionally, if applicable.
  2. Some matters involving Industrial and Intellectual Property issues, including counseling, require the direct assistance of an attorney-at-law, which would be charged on an hourly basis from $100.00 USCy. to $290.00 USCy. per hour, depending on the complexity of the case.
  3. The attorney’s fees established for trademark and copyright matters are indicative of the minimum amounts to be charged thereof; in the event a major number of filings is required, we may grant a discount over our attorneys’ fees.
  4. Small entity status can be claimed for patents, design and utility models. Small entities are entitled to pay 50% of the filing Government fees.
  5. While in most cases we can limit our charges to the above minimum, certain cases requiring exceptional attention and involving an unusual expenditure of time and effort may force us to increase our charges. However, rush handling of patent, design or utility model applications will NOT have any surcharge on the filing charge and on the trans lation charge.
  6. The copyright official fees are regularly increased in January and July of each year.
